If you or someone in your family suffers from Ashtma then you will know that the sufferer is particularly vulnerable at night. • Firstly you will need a specially designed vacuum cleaner specifically designed for allergy prevention, which has a particularly powerful suction and, most importantly, is equipped with a special filter (HEPA filter) that will retain more that 99.9% of all particulates that passes through it. This is vital so that allergen rich particles are prevented from being simply recycled into the air.

• Secondly you need to irradiate the mattress with a high intensity Ultra Violet (UVC) light or wand. This will ensure that any dust mites that might escape the cleaning are destroyed together with any associated bacteria.

You will then have a mattress that is virtually sterile.

• It is recommended that you carry out a third stage and that is to lightly spray the mattress with a biological compound, harmless to humans and pets, that deters the re-infestation of the mattress by dust mites and so extends the period between cleanings.

Of course you will incur an initial expense to obtain this specialised equipment but this will be offset by the savings that you will make by not having to pay for the regular servicing and certainly more than offset by the relief that the asthma sufferer will undoubtedly experience.

In addition, how satisfying will it be to know that you are sleeping in a really clean, hygienic bed ..... asthma sufferer or not!
